This book started out to be great fun. Lots of action, shoot-em up, etc. About a third of way into it the “bad guys” were introduced. Such a tired, implausible, overused villian. The wealthy, right wing, racist, homophobic, blah, blah blah villain whose taking over the US government from the succcessful, adored liberal president. The plot was downright stupid! Rarely, do I not finish a book but this one was ridiculous.

The lead character happens to be a heroine which is a nice change of pace. She is cool, cunning and intelligent. Cannot wait for the next release.
Somewhat over-the-top similar to Clancy, etal, but fast paced with an intriguing storyline and plenty of action. I look forward to the next installment.
I was glad to read this book and was entertained by it. The author created a good story line and the characters were diverse and very well developed. Maxmontgomery
90% of the book was an entertaining read even if it did usual super smart, super talented and super beautiful hero. The disappointing part was the corny ending that a very thinly veiled setup for next book and continuation of the series.
The price was right but I would have been unhappy if I paid more for the book.
This s a good way to kill time. Not very probable, but you know anything is possible. Perhaps this is going on now., in the USA
Right from the get-go, this book will keep you interested. Pretty amazing how the heroine of the story gathered such an expert group of mercenaries and effectively and intellectually outfoxed the corrupt government officials. I'm anxious to read the follow-on for this story and have already preordered the next Eva Driscoll book ---- can't wait!!!!
While the author is clearly developing a new literary franchise, it’s okay. The book is a tried and true gambit of alienated, former special forces characters taking on “shadow government.” The characters make this old horse work again. The author spins a good yarn and it will keep the reader engaged to the end...well not really the end. I don’t want to spoil things. Let’s just say I’m looking forward to the next installment.
