I've just recently found this author and she really didn't disappoint!! The first book in her series is hot!Ashlinn was abandoned when she was just a baby with just a necklace with a pendant that she's been wearing ever since. She was then adopted by the woman who found her.
After her 18th birthday her mom and the rest of her family except her niece don't make it out of the car accident where she's in a coma. Coherent but stuck in limbo.
Weird how ever since just before her 18th birthday she's been dreaming of this gorgeous man. While in her coma she projects to this man and comes to her rescue. Her her Kindred and her mate. He's also the Prince. Just one little problem... Her real mother has promised her to another through a blood contract and he's come to collect. Tarring is a bit on the Dark side you might say.
The world Jana has created on the Otherworld is magnificent!! From the elves to sprites to the Royal family to the Dark magic. You fall into this new realm with Ashlinn and Lexie and you instantly fall in love!!
Can't wait to read the second book in the series!!

This is a really good story. It stayed interesting all the way to the end and made me want more, and that cliffhanger is big.
This story was so beautifully written that I could not put it down, the author Jana Lapelle took me to a world that was amazingly beautiful and pulled me so into the story that I just had to continue to read to see what was going to happen next. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series...
I found this book by accident. I am so glad I did. It has provided me an escape from the world now and into a new realm. I am able to see it play out in my head as if I am watching a movie or as I am actually walking through it. That is what a good storyteller does. They make you forget the stresses of everyday life. I am looking forward to reading the books in the series
I really enjoyed reading this book. It's well written. A great story that is original and different. I love how the story draws you in right away and I quickly found myself not wanting to put the book down just so I could see what happened next. I love the supporting characters they are fun and add to the story. I can't wait to read the second book!
Poor grammar, syntax errors, misused words, and homophonic substitutions abound in this otherwise interesting tale.
This is an author desperately in need of both a proofreader and an editor.
I suggest if this is self-published, that the author invests in the Grammarly app or some similar product.
I finished the story because the character building was solid, but it was a struggle to do so, and I'm not masochistic enough to continue with the series.
Ashlinn finds a lot more than she bargained for as her dreams become reality and she learns that her life is much more complicated than your average girl would expect. This fantasy story takes us on a trip filled with wonder. It is a terrific read and well worth the time to take in the story. And the transition at the end leaves you desirous of more. I really loved it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! The story revolves around Ashlinn and Lexie, two sisters on a family vacation until tragedy strikes in the form of a horrific car crash. Lexie is battered but Ashlinn is in a coma for week, which is where the story takes an interesting turn as she is able to astral project into the realm of the Faerie, where she meets a little spunky pixie and informs her that's she trapped in limbo and needs her guardian. Ashlinn doesn't understand why she would blurt this out but the pixie knows. This sets the stage for both the sisters to get a crash course in the supernatural as elves come to their aid. There's plenty of action, suspense and mystery that will keep you turning the pages just to see what happens next. I highly recommend this one!
